This program was conceived and is hosted by long-time community activist and volunteer radio DJ, and KWTF board member, Elbert “Big Man” Howard. His goal is to serve the community of Sonoma County and the KWTF listening audience. Mr. Howard features the best in soul, funk and rhythm and blues music and also discussions on current events of the day. He includes helpful information on community resources, services and events, all of which are designed to heighten awareness and provide useful information for the vast numbers of under-served residents of Sonoma County. He for-sees this radio program as an ever-evolving venue open to change and suggestions.

Since its beginning in 1911, the San Francisco Symphony has been known for innovative programs that offer a spectrum of traditional repertory and new music. Today, the Orchestra’s artistic vitality, recordings, and groundbreaking multimedia educational projects carry its impact throughout American musical life.
In his spare time, Olewnick writes about music (and other stuff) here and for Squid’s Ear. He’s engaged in an increasingly lengthy project writing the biography of Keith Rowe, improvising musician and founding member of AMM. Among other things, Olewnick paints and is a pretty damn fair crossword solver.
KWTF Radio is Sonoma County's newest community radio station. We are happy to join the diverse group of full power, low power, and internet radio stations that already serve the people of Sonoma County. We intend to bring voices and communities to the air that are not already represented, with a focus on local news, talk, art, and culture.
