Biographical Info

Will McCollum is a Gemini and Earth Monkey. He was born on The Day of Unfailing Vision (no, really). Having spent ten years in New York City making art with a capital ‘a’ and film/video with little to no capital, he moved West to grow up with the Country. Eleven years later, he has become involved with the Santa Rosa music scene through his band The 50/50s and more recently (We Are) The Nervous. His love of music has lead to a very healthy record collection as well as an appreciation of free-form listener-supported radio stations such as WFMU and KALX. The combination of these elements has lead him to become involved with KWTF. His program Vinyl-O-Matic examines the notion of music as biography, currently with his own collection but soon to include members of the KWTF listening community. A nerd by nature, he also lends his support to the technological underpinnings of KWTF.
