Tuesdays, 9AM to 11am
I started the show, “I Hear You Rockin’” in 1986 in Mendocino, serving all of the county and worldwide once streaming appeared. The concept of the show is to provide stirring performances, unplugged sessions, and electrifying covers of rock, soul, and blues! Onstage gems from Al Green to Green Day, Savoy Brown to Sheryl Crow! Groove tunes from the artists you know and love. Plus, trivia in abundance! Rock news, history, birthdays and lots more. Plus, “The Mendo Moment”, which showcases the finest musical artists from Mendocino County – their music, interviews, and upcoming gigs. All in all, you’ll be glad you tuned in!
With over 35 years on air, I’m a veteran of the airwaves and bring a lot of love and laughter into the show. My start in radio was in 1982, on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation, when asked to join the staff of KIDE, the 1st Native American Public Broadcasting Station in California. After 4 years, I moved back to my native Fort Bragg, and began many years of announcing at KMFB (later to become KUNK). Now living in Sonoma County, I’m ready to deliver the goods. No standing in line, sitting in the nose bleed section – you’ll have front row seats to jaw-dropping concert tracks designed to thrill and amaze! ”I Hear You Rockin’” is a Vinyl Friendly Production.
